Java leapsec issue causes high CPU
Seems like a bug is going around caused by leapsec in Java that causes high CPU. There is a simple fix for the issue. For CentOS / RHEL 5 & 6 /etc/init.d/ntpd stop; date; date `date +”%m%d%H%M%C%y.%S”`; date Wait for the CPU to go down and then restart ntpd /etc/init.d/ntpd start After doing this, see if the cpu usage falls down using top or your tool of choice.
