How To Allow Sites That Need Flash to Run In Google Chrome

The Issue

Happens all the time, you are just cruising along using Google Chrome and you hit a site that needs Adobe Flash to work and Chrome stops it dead in it’s tracks and a link appears saying you need to download and install Adobe Flash. If you try to install Flash and return you will get the same error. So how do you fix it? It is easier than you think.

Note: Only let Flash run on websites that you trust. Some websites might use Adobe Flash Player to harm your computer.

Here’s how you do it!

Go to the website in question and to the left of the web address, right click Lock or Info View site information. At the bottom, click Site Settings

enable flash
Find the Flash entry which will show Ask(Default)

Flash setting

Flash settings

In the new tab, to the right of “Flash,” click the Down arrow Down arrow and then Allow.

Flash allow
Close the Settings tab and Go back to the site and reload the page.

That’s all there is to it! Note: This is a site by site add, but it works.
